Our trainers are high-level practitioners and security experts from the National Research Center for Applied Cybersecurity ATHENE and the Fraunhofer SIT, one of the leading cybersecurity and privacy research institutes in Germany. They all conduct research in the field of applied cybersecurity defense and offense. Take advantage of their experience and expertise in our training sessions.
Thomas Dexheimer studied computer science at the TU Darmstadt, specializing in cryptography and communication networks. At the Fraunhofer Institute SIT, he specialized as a researcher in the fields of smart devices and embedded security, where he conducted numerous security analyses of hardware and software systems in the IT security test laboratory. He served as a speaker on IT security in production and Industry 4.0 for the Mittelstand 4.0 Competence Center Darmstadt. Since 2024, he has also been a speaker for the “TeleTrusT Information Security Professional” (T.I.S.P.) seminar and is responsible for the Cyber Range training program.
Siniša Đukanović graduated from the TU Darmstadt with a diploma in computer science, specializing in software technology. At the Fraunhofer Institute SIT, he conducted research in the areas of secure software development, network security and security in production. He was a member of the IT Security Test Lab at Fraunhofer SIT, where he conducted various software and hardware security analyses. In addition to his work in the Cyber Range, he leads the preparatory seminar for certification as a “TeleTrust Information Security Professional” (T.I.S.P.) at Fraunhofer SIT.
Carsten Schmidt is a trained mathematician. As a doctoral candidate in the DFG's Collaborative Research Center 1119 (CROSSING), he focuses on cryptographically securing core infrastructures and protocols that are frequently used on the Internet. Carsten is also involved in lecturing at the TU Darmstadt and has taught several courses.
